A compilation of classic original Morris promotional films from the archives of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust re-mastered for DVD

This series of beautifully produced films from the 1930s was made by the Morris Film Unit for invited audiences at special cinema shows.  Watch how the cars were built and then climb on board for a tip which takes you from the calm of the Cornish coast to the heights of the French Pyrenees.

At Cowley (1932)

A classic period drama in which an exited father returns home to his family, full of tales from his guided tour of the Cowley Works.

Morris Gazette (1933)

Stories about Morris Motors presented in a period 'newsreel' style.

Specialisation (1935)

In the 1920s the formidable Leonard Lord was put in charge of modernising production methods at the Cowley factory.  His version of mass-production, pioneered by Ford was known as 'specialisation'.  This film showcases the new facilities before reviewing the entire Morris model range for 1935.

Westwards Away (1934)

The new Morris Ten-Six undertakes a tour of the West Country, after a visit to Brooklands racing circuit,  to show off its versatility and endurance.

New Morris Eight (1934)

All the stops were pulled out for this production featuring the Morris Eight, a new small car destined to boost faltering Morris sales in the important small car market.

The Pyrenees (1935)

The plucky Morris Eight tackles the tough roads over the Pyrenees. This film was a remarkably ambitious project for the modest in-house film production unit, using a rare colour process at this very early period.

Total running time approximately 93 minutes
