The Range Rover had only recently been launched in 1970 and this British Trans America Expedition from 1971-1972 was devised to prove the vehicle's off-road capabilities in the tradition of the Land Rover. Two Range Rovers travelled from Alaska to Cape Horn crossing the Darien Gap in Central America.
